Jesus spoke these words early in the week before going to the cross. He clearly states He was born for the purpose of dying, not for Himself, but for the world. Why was the cross inescapable?
Paul declares himself a good pattern for those coming after him and seeking eternal life. We should seek God’s grace, mercy and forgiveness in the same way as he did.
