We so often think of how we are helping others when we give but God consistently reminds us of many benefits that come to us when we give generously.

Our theme for this quarter and emphasis in our daily Bible reading is We Are Mission Minded. This passage gives us a look at qualities each of us needs to develop if we are going to fulfill the great commission.
“It only takes a spark to get a fire going…” So begins a devotional song with a timeless message. We all share in the task of taking the saving message of the gospel to all within our influence, and that number is far more than we realize.
This evening’s lesson is from our daily Bible reading for today, the familiar story of God’s appearance to Moses in the burning bush. When God told him to return to Egypt to lead the children of Israel out of captivity, Moses gave a series of excuses that are exactly those we use today.
